Tally
Tally
For artists who sell at shows

Your whole show business in one app — and a first look at which shows are worth it.

Sales pulled straight from Square. Shows, expenses, and receipts all in one place. And we're building toward something bigger: anonymous, real-sales data on what artists in your medium and price range actually make at a show — so you can see it before you apply.

Not just what you sold — what you actually kept.

Knowing what you sold isn't knowing what you made.

The show that looked like your best might have lost money once you counted the booth fee, the gas, and the hotel. The quiet one down the road might be the one that actually pays.

Your sales live in Square. Your costs are scattered across receipts, notes, and spreadsheets — or buried in accounting software built for a different kind of business. Nothing connects them to the one thing you want to know: which shows actually pay.

You made the work. You should know what it earned you.

One app for your whole show business

Everything you need to run the business side of your art.

The all-in-one tracker built for artists who sell at shows and markets — not generic accounting software.

Real profit per show

After booth fees, travel, and materials. Per show, per season, per year — so you know which ones actually pay.

Automatic from Square

Your sales import themselves — every sale, exact numbers, no typing from memory. Your Square data stays in your Square account.

Expenses & receipts

Track costs by category and snap photos of receipts, all organized and ready when tax time comes.

Shows, inventory & history

Application deadlines, booth fees, inventory from Square, and year-over-year trends — all in one place.

Bring your spreadsheets

Import your existing tracking sheets as they are — no reformatting — so your whole history comes with you.

Export anytime

Your data is yours. Export a clean, sorted report for your accountant whenever you need it.

See it with real numbers.

What we're building toward

Soon: see what artists actually make at a show — before you apply.

Your own shows tell you about the shows you've done. As more artists use Tally, we're building anonymous, real-sales averages for the shows you haven't — so you can decide where to spend your season with real information instead of a gamble.

1

Real numbers, not self-reported guesses

Because the sales come straight from Square, the averages would be built on real transactions — not figures anyone typed in by hand. That's the only way data like this is worth trusting, and it's the whole reason we built it on Square.

2

For artists like you

Segmented by medium and price range — because a blended average across everyone tells you nothing useful about your work.

3

Anonymous, always

Only combined averages are ever shown — never any individual artist's numbers, and nobody can ever see what you personally made.

4

Honest about what it knows

If there isn't enough data on a show yet, it says so — instead of pretending a handful of numbers is the whole picture.

Your numbers are always private — and so is the fact that you use Tally. Anything shown here would be combined anonymously: averages and ranges only, never anyone's individual numbers, and nobody can ever see what you personally made. We never sell your data and never publish who uses Tally.

Made by an artist, for artists.

Tally was built by a working artist who was drowning in spreadsheets and never knew which shows actually paid — and her partner, a software engineer, who made it real.

We use it for a real art-show business, every show. It's built for how artists actually work.

The artist who needed it. The engineer who built it.
